Washing Your Face Properly

As a woman, cleaning and moisturizing your face is one of the main foundations of having good skin. Well, if you don't know how to wash your face properly this could lead to all kinds of irritation, acne, and dryness of your skin.


Remember your skin is the first thing people see whenever they look at you. So, here is a guide to wash your face properly. This will help you attain a clean, and healthy glowing skin that your best.


1. Keep your hands clean

Everything starts with clean hands. Having dirt hands could transfer dirt and bacteria that makes you face oily or dry. It is better to start by cleaning your hands with antibacterial soap or hand wash.


2. Take off your makeup

Use makeup remover then put a dab on a cotton or facial wipe and gently apply it on your face, because this would help you clean your skin pores.


3. Use lukewarm water on your face

It is best to use lukewarm water when washing your face because it produces a small reaction in your skin. Your pores will tighten if the water is too cold and you won't be able to clean them out. If the water you use is too hot, it will dry up your skin.


4. Apply a facial cleanser and lather up a small amount on your face

Lather a small amount in your clean hands and then gently apply it on your face using a circular motion. You could also apply a little bit of pressure when washing your face to help stimulate the blood flow. Don't press your skin too hard or too tough, because this would risk pulling it off that could cause redness. irritation. and breakouts.


5. Scrub your skin gently

Gently massage your skin in circular motions using a damp, soft washcloth or a face scrubber. Always start on your forehead, and slowly move down to your nose and chin, then scrub each sides of your cheek. You shouldn't apply to much pressure on your skin, so that it doesn't get irritated. Your main goal is to exfoliate and work the cleanser in your skin pores.


6. Rinse the cleanser off your skin

Use a slightly cold water to rinse off the cleanser on your face as it helps to relax your skin and open pores. Gently pat your skin to dry with a clean towel. Never wipe or rub towel on your face as this could damage or irritation on your delicate skin.


7. Remove excess makeup around your eyes

Even if you always wash your and clean your face, there are still traces of mascara or eyeliner which could get in your eyes and cause some irritations. Wipe another makeup remover around your eyes and make sure that you remove the excess eye makeup you were wearing.


8. Applying your favourite facial moisturizer and eye cream

Always remember that your facial skin is extremely sensitive and very delicate part of your body, You should make it a habit to keep your skin beautiful and healthy, by washing it properly and applying the right moisturizer every night.
